Who can join Red Blazer Men’s Chorus?

We welcome men of any age who love to make music and who want to give back to our community.


Is reading music or being a stellar singer a prerequisite for membership?

No, many of our members learn the songs and enhance their voices during rehearsals.


What’s the criteria for joining?

Come to a rehearsal to meet the group and listen to us sing. We can assess your voice range (tenor, baritone, bass), and when you’re ready to join, you will meet with Brett Ransom, our Artistic Director, to learn more.


When and where are rehearsals held?

The RBMC rehearses every Thursday from 7:30pm - 10:00pm in the auditorium at the Harlem Road Community Center, 4255 Harlem Rd., Buffalo, NY 14226. Six weeks before the Red Blazer Varieties, we also rehearse on Sundays at 2pm - 5:00pm.


For what sorts of events does the Chorus perform?

We perform throughout Western New York and beyond at events like:

  • Our annual Senior Citizen Concert Series, where our performances are free to the residents, their families, and staff at senior living facilities across Erie County. .

  • We also host our annual Red Blazer Varieties show in the spring and numerous other shows across the year.


Do I need to buy a red blazer?

No, we provide you with a custom fit red blazer.
